HP delivers the Cisco MDS 9513 Director Switch with dual supervisor 2 modules, dual fabric modules, redundant fans, clocks, power supplies and non-disruptive upgrades to ensure smooth, continuous operation. The dual fabric modules are a new innovation which make even the backplane of the MDS 9513 is both redundant and hot-swappable, thereby taking fabric availability to a different plane. The eleven open expansion slots can be filled by optional MDS 9000 Family Modules, including earlier generation 16 and 32 port 2 Gb Fibre Channel modules along with the new generation 12, 24 and 48-port, 4 Gb Fibre Channel and 4-port, 10 Gb Fibre Channel Modules.
