The MK3006GAL and the MK6006 GAH Drives are 1.8- inch Hard Disk Drives with high-capacity and big areal density. In this way Toshiba reinforce its manufactoring and technological leadership in small form-factor hard drives.
The drives deliver 20 per cent lower power consumption than current models. Due to the combination of light weight and small form factors you can use it for portable digital computing and electronic devices like MP3-players, PDAs or ultra-portable notebooks. With 500g shock resistance, they belong to the most robust drives on the market today. The biggest advantage of this Hard Disk Drive is the technical improvements on the head and platter. There is an areal density of 93,5 GBit/inch². These are the world's first 1.8-inch Hard Disk Drives using 30 GB capacity per platter technology.
