The base DS3000 controller comes with four storage partitions activated. Expanding the number of storage partitions supported allows the DS3000 controllers to provide isolated data storage for a larger number of host servers. Generally, the greater the number of storage partitions available on a given DS3000 controller, the greater the number of host servers that can be supported.
